Why do you want to get rid of it? That scar is part of you and who you are. It tells a story about you. I wouldn't cover it up, I'd show it off! Wear those favorite skirts, don't be embarassed and be proud of who you are! :)

For someone to call you names because of scar is being childish and rude. Those aren't the kind of people I'd want for a friend! Remember it is JUST a scar. Big deal!

why would anyone call you names because of a scar. I don't, and I've got quite a few on my face. anyone rude enough to call you names for a scar is just showing how pathetic they are.

I have numerous scars on my face from a dog bite that needed 13 stitches and minor cosmetic surgery. a scar is a scar. no one will look at your leg and think, oh how disgusting, a scar, she should cover it up. try acting as if it doesn't even exist. I've never felt a need to wear a mask to cover my scars. after mine happened I used vitamin e-oil from the capsules to minimise them, and things like neroli, lavender and cocoa butter are very good (neroli, lavender and cocoa butter are all in Lush Therapy massage bar) I've heard Bio-Oil isn't very good.

the thing is, there's no need to be ashamed of a scar and cover it. otherwise I'd always be wearing a mask. it's just part of who you are, and if people see it, so what.

You could wear panty hose, but it is probably too hot in the summer to do that. I have heard vitamin E oil is good to hear minimize scars.

Although you might find commercial products that will lighten the skin of the scar a bit, nothing short of laser surgery will totally remove the scar. Be careful, there are a lot of quack remedies on the market!! Best of luck to you.
