How many languages do you speak, I am thinking of taking up another language and would love to have some suggestions on what language I should learn? Which ones would be good in business?

i can speak 2 fluent languages (english and filipino) and 2 not so fluent one (cantonese and urdu). for business i think you should try to learn cantonese or mandarin. those are the languages chinese people always use...i think china will soon be the powerfull country so why not learn the language and do business with them right.

mandarin is china's national language and cantonese is what hongkong people use... so it will depend where you will be dealing business with.

For business I would highly suggest you learn spanish, especially since it is a language spoken as the second language in many homes across the United States.

I would say Spanish, however the flip side of that coin would be Italian. If you learn Italian, you will be able to speak & understand a lot of spanish. They are very close.

I only speak English. I took french in high school but couldn't really get into it or pick it up. Now I have always wanted to take up Spanish as a second language not only to understand and communicate with the Spanish people in America but also a lot of jobs will pay you more if you know Spanish.

to be able to speak any other language in business is a great thing. spanish is always a good one. there a great program called rosita stone that is suppose to be wonderful in helping you learn a new language really easy. i was thinking of getting it so that my kids can learn spanish

I speak English, but I'm learning Spanish at work. I work directly with many Hondorans, Guatamalen, and other Spanish speaking people. Hardly any of them speak English, so I've basically had to learn their language. They say that I'm getting good at it too. Even though I think they should learn our language, I guess this is one good thing that has come out of it. Lloyd
