Ok I have a question. How come there is so much spamming and people having posts that they did not make done on myspace? I am just wondering with myspace so popular that they would have some kind of spam or virus progam that would take care of that. I think that it just crazy that it is happening there. I may just be crazy but i think that it should not happen there.

its' really hard to stop spamming, but myspace has said they've been working on programs to help. i know that if a lot of post/bulletins are coming out of your account, your account will be marked as 'phished' and you would need to change your password. thats where people are posting posts they didn't know they're posting because their account was phished, meaning somenone took their passord and email addres and logs into your account. its been happening a lot.

I have heard that the partial answer to the reason why people have comment spam sent under their profile is because someone has hacked their password. So try changing your password often. Good passwords have a mix of capital and small letters and numbers. It's also a wise thing to have a different myspace password from your email address and other various online accounts. Hackers could try to take over your email or other accounts as well. There's also an option to moderate your comments for your page, pictures and blog. You can decide to accept or reject comments, just like with bots or random people adding you as a friend. However, you end up with a lot of messages in your inbox asking you to approve comments if you have a lot of friends. HTH!

I think most of the problems that myspace has dealt with lately stem from their general lack of policing. It seems that they don't really enforce anything until they have no choice. I can't imagine that they're likely to change anything until they're given a court order.

you are right on the policing, i think that they wait till the last minute to do something about things. but it is getting so bad with all the phishing.

They have done away with a lot of spam but when they come up with one thing to stop a certain type of message, another one is created and they have to start all over again.

I'd like to know too. I've had it happen to me, and changed my password several times. If you see it, especially in bulletins...there's a way to report it so they can get rid of it and find out who's doing it. I'm not sure exactly how but you can.

I love myspace and I too have been victim of the posts and comments that I didnt do. Its really aggrivating and on an average day I will have about 3 comments from my friends profiles that are just spam, and another problem with myspace is the messages from people that arent real, like bots sending messages and asking for friend invites, its soo annoying!
