Mom or dad? If you had the choice, which one would you prefer?

Are you closer to your mom or dad? Is it ok to choose your preferred parent? To me, I consider to be closer to my mom due to circumstances - they separated when I was very young still and my mom chose to take me along with her. Would you care to share your particular experiences?

If I absolutely had to choose I would choose my dad. I'm pretty close with both my parents but I am more like my dad. My mom and I butt heads alot.
