baggage claim from terminal 1

I fly into terminal 1 (Southwest) and I need to go to baggage claim and get my bags, I then need to go to the ticketing counter for US Airway and re-check my baggage with US airways, do I do all this in the same terminal???

Possibly, depends on what airport you are making the change over in. All airports are set up differently.
