USB Flash drive repair

hi guys! i've got a Dell USB flash drive.i was just so shocked and disgisted when sudenly my computer did not detect/recognize it..what shall I do?i have so many important files in it. I don't have "back ups" of these files. Please help!thanks

I have also a failed USB drive. Unfortunately the files can't be recovered. I have not seen a known "cure" for such devices but only proper synchronization with the files you have on your desktop. You have to regularly make a backup of your files.

synchronization usually refers to updating your files located from two or more computers to make sure they have the same contents.

There are solutions for getting your data recovered from a flash drive that has gone bad, but it kind of depends on how bad you want it. There are data recovery labs that specialize in recovering data from broken hard drives, optical drives, usb flash drives etc. But I have to warn you it is quite expensive. I am a computer technician and I had to send a hard drive to the lab to recover a business' data. Typical cost is between $1200 and $2400 for a hard drive, I have no idea for a USB flash drive To him it was worth it. He had to have that data.

how bout the usb flash drive itself? what shall i do to fix it?? its not functioning? please help i want to recover my usb cd r-king

Have you tried restoring your computer to an earlier setting? Also try a system re-boot with the BSB device plugged in it's proper port... Also try contacting Dell for support, too.

Anyway do try out the other USB port first before you do anything yea ... sometimes it might work on another usb port yea
