When children are more and more inclined towards fastfoods, junk foods, and they never pay attention about the nutritious food.As a parent how do manage this? What plans do you adopt for your child to take nutritious diets?

I have 4 kids and three are wonderful eaters and will eat anything you put in front of them. Veggies, meat, fruit, salad anything. Then there is the one who wont eat anything. I have tried and failed nightly for the last four years. I have spoken to doctors and they have given me vitamins. This is very hard for me to swollow but at the moment short of drip feeding its the best I can do. This also comes at a fight. I have brought books on the subject decorated in fun ways the lot. I even have friends that will say if it wasnt for my other kids that they would think we were take away junkies. I am after any advice.

I think, the kid your are worrying about is the youngest of all, and slowly he/she will try and learn all by himself/herself.

Considering that my kids love there fruits and vegitables we dont have to worry about our kids eating healthy. My kids will choose fruit before choosing the candy. They know they can have as much fruit as they want but when it comes to sweets they are limited and they know this. We use fast food as a special treat for good behavior and we only order it once a month maybe more for exceptional behavior.

Really, If your kids prefer fruits than of a candy then you have good kids, and no worries for you to maintain a good vigil on their food habits.

I am not the best example for eating healthy. I love my chocolate and chips. My boys were always eating friuts and veggies, so it wasn't a big deal until I had my daughter. She is more like me in the snacking area. I have stopped buying chips, cookies and candy all together. Once in a while we will have a special treat, but usually we will have fruits or veggies and dip for our snacks. I discuss with my kids what is good for them to eat and what isn't. My daughter will now go for the yogurt over looking for the chips.

Well, it starts at home. Set a good example and only buy "unhealthy" treats occasionally. Find healthy alternative treats, such as oatmeal cookies, banana or zucchini bread, etc to offer your children. Avoid fast food places as much as possible and when you do go, encourage them to try the healthier menu options (grilled vs. fried, salads with light dressings, etc). Find tasty ways to serve healthy foods, such as vegetables. Allrecipes.com has great recipes and you can search by ingredient. Just type in the vegetable you want to serve and see what recipes come up. I have even found a recipe for brussel sprouts that my whole family enjoys and even asks for.

That is so true. If unhealthy foods are not in the house, they can't eat them.
