Oddly enough, I can watch most movies with Susan Sarandon or Tim Curry and not necessarily think of their characters from Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's a lot easier for me with Susan Sarandon, because she looks a lot less like Janet now. With Tim Curry, it's a little more difficult, but as long as he has some facial hair, it's not hard. :)

I may be wrong, but I don't think he was in the 3 Musketeers...
He did have facial hair in Ever After though.

I agree with scarywhitegirl. Although I have to admit that when I see movies with either (or Richard O'Brien) I've been caught making up 'audience participation lines' as the film went along.
One movie that Curry had facial hair that I can think of off the top of my head was The 3 Musketeers.

Hello ParaTed,
Tim Curry successfull cleared my automatic association between him and his "Rocky Horror" character when he played the butler in "Clue". He was a real 'hoot' in that film. Plus, it's easier envisioning him not wearing fishnet stockings.
As for Susan Sarandon, I only wish I could still associate her with her sweet 'Janet' character.
Wow, I haven't thought about "RHPS" in eons. Thanks for the 'blast from the past'.

Yeah, Tim Curry has played in a lot of different kinds of roles, he really is a great actor!
Susan Sarandon is good too, but her range doesn't seem as wide.
Glad I could blast you for a few. ;~D

With Susan Sarandon it's a lot easier for me to separate her character from Rocky Horror when I watch other films. I don't know why, but not all the time will I think of Janet. On the other hand, when it comes to Tim Curry every time I see him in anything or even think about him Dr. Frank N. Furter comes to mind. What a crazy little character, and he played the role ohhhh so well. :D

Yes, he really did a great job! I've heard that Mick Jagger wanted to play Frankie, and I think he would have done a great job... but I'm glad we have the vision of Dr. Frank N. Furter that we have.

I know that feeling.
Every now and then we watch Rocky Horror just to lighten the mood.
It is hard to believe sometimes that Sarandon was even in that movie when we watch some of her later ones.
Curry has been in a lot of different types of movies over the years and there is no telling where he might appear.

It might help me separate her from Janet, if I didn't yell "$LUT" at the screen everytime I see her on TV.;~D

Yes I can only because I saw many of Susan's films before I saw Rocky Horror. And with Tim, I saw him in Clue and Oscar before I saw him in Rocky Horror. But if Rocky Horror was my first film I saw them in, I couldn't see them as anyone else.

That must be the problem I'm having. Both of them were nobodies before I saw RHPS. I'm just glad they both have a sense of humor about it.

Actually, I think the movie itself is horrid. The music is great though, and the audience, well they are the show!

Everytime I watch Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostawick I think of them as Brad and Janet from Rocky Horror. They were so cool in it!
