During Game 4 of the finals, a commentator suggested that if a player dives to get a call, the first call should be thrown out and the dive should be the only call. What do you think?Would that stop diving?

if a player fakes a dive to get a penalty then the player who commited the intial offense get the 2 mins then the diver get a double minor(4mins) and if there was potetial for a shot on net a penalty shot.

I love it. That way the players would get the message, especially the goalies. They would think twice if they knew that it could mean a penalty shot.

I like that idea very much as the person who did the diving should be penalized harshly for his act. It is amazing how some of these players will make it look like they got hit when they did not or not hard enough to fall. The league definitely needs to reduce the amount of diving that goes on.

Goalies are different if the player charges the crease adn hits the goalie then 2 mins too many good goalies are getting run at and getting hurt.

I thought there was a diving rule? You've got boarding, hooking, highsticking, and slashing. I thought there was a rule on diving! If there isn't one, there should be one. Other wise everyone would dive just to stop the play or give other side a penelty!

There is a diving rule but they don't the players are not called for it like they should. And when it is called, it only makes it a 4 on 4.
