Today is World Environmental Day. This day was initiated by United Nation. Now with Global Warming, everyone is feeling hotter when they are outside of aircon building. I'm not talking about countries that having a winter season. It is more on the whole world generally.
How can we help to make the world more environmental friendly?. What would you do to lighten the earth burden. As for me, I will try to use less paper in the office and recycle them as much as possible. Do you care to do your part?
BTW, just want to share with you this info - it takes 17 trees to be chopped off to make a tonne of paper. Imagine if we use paper as much as 1 tonne of paper per day. Eventually, our offspring would not see a tree any longer and we cannot enjoy our retirement sitting on a bench under a tree.. :(

I didn't know that it took 17 trees to make a tonne of paper - that's something to bear in mind when using paper in the office or at home. I try to do my bit for the environment by using paper twice in the printer where possible, I re-cycle glass, plastic, newspaper, etc., and I try to conserve as much water as I can because my country has been in drought conditions for two years now, so we need to all be more water-wise. I believe in the power of one, so if we all do a little bit for the environment, we can make a difference.
Good post Aidah.

Good that you have done your part to save the earth by recyling things as much as possible. If everyone do their part, the Earth wont be too burden.
As for conserving water, you can water your plant (rosemary, etc) by using recycle water from the fruits, rice, vegetables that you washed. As long as not detergent is use to wash things you can use them again to water the plant, esp when you wash your veg and fruit. This way, the plant will get all the nutrients washed away by the water for their dosage of vitamins.

I would agree with you that our Mother Earth is getting hotter by day due to Global Warming. But I do believe a lot more can be done to educate the public about Global Warming. A lot of offices still use a lot of paper even though they preach to go paperless. The high usage of air-conditioning also contribute to this. We are so pampered to good living that we have forgotten that the luxuries would lead to a sick earth.
