poirot or sherlock holmes??

my favourite is sherlock holmes and it was saddening for me that he is an imaginary character. i imagined him to be tall, slim,clean shaven not so great looking but intense looking and so on .... then is poirot he is also good but certainly not as good as sherlock holmes,who is better or intelligent detective??
