Birthday gift ideas?

My best friends birthday is coming up and I don't know what to get for her. She likes really expensive stuff, but I'm on a tight budget. So, that's out. I want her to be happy, because she's been there for me through some tough times.
Do you have any suggestions on how I could get her a really great gift, without spending full price.

gifts should really be price or expensive. your friend would surely appreciate even if its just simple as long as you've placed great effort in it. one of my friends birthday will be on sunday, since its not yet payday and we are also on a tight budget, we just thought of giving her a scrapbook or photo album with our photos and simple messages. it will just take a little creativity to make it look real nice.we know she'll like it anyway coz its not really the gift that matters, its you being able to make her birthday a special one.

not because she likes expensive stuffs taht means you will give her one, when it is really out of the budget. there are a lot of gifts out there that i think she will appreciate although it is cheap or budgeted gift.

Have you tried on Ebay ?!? They might have something expensive for cheap prices...you'll never know.

actually I think you can do it by yourself,for example a card,because you do not have much money now.and the importantce of birthday gift is our best regards,not its price,so you think so?
