When did your child uttered a word for the first time? What was the word and what was your reaction? My son said Athai and Thatha (meaning aunt and grandpa) when he was 6 months. I could not believe my ears. Came running from kitchen and made him say again and again. How about you? Can you share your experience please?

Hai Sammantha, your writing is so interesting. The child, on his own, found a way to differentiate calling his two grannies. That is amazing. About your daughter I very much want to listen to her voice. Some times children all of a sudden start talking many words after some time. The way your daughter is uttering so many words, I am sure shortly they will be audible and clear. When she talks, pl inform me and if possible send her voice to me. I will also have the enjoyment of listening to the sweet voice, if you do not mind. Thanks for responding.

Have you recorded her voice? She herself will be interested in listening to her childhood voice later. You also will be thrilled to hear that voice when she is grown up. It will be a treasure for us.

My daughters first word was dad and I couldnt believe that she said it, her father was asleep at the time so I quickly grabbed my phone and videoed her saying dad onto my phone to show her dad when he woke up, he was very pleased that I had done this for him!! I dont remember how old she was when she said it though

Do you still have that voice recording? how old is she now? What does she say for that? I recorded the voices of my children and they feel shy when I play that for them. For parents, I tell you, hearing to children's voice is height of the happiness. Thanks for responding.

I think children usually start blabbering at six months, as my three children talked at that age only. It is nice if your second sweety calls his big brother's name so soon. By this his elder brother will feel very special and the bond between brothers will become close and he will take care of his special younger brother.

That is great. What was your reaction then? Were you at home when they said that and listened to yourself or family members told that he talked like that?
