Have you ever, in your life gotten into the wrong car?? Today at my OB appointment, my dad was visiting and drove me there. It was a super fast appt, so he waited in the car with the kids since they fell asleep on the way. He was sitting and waiting, and suddenly this elderly woman hopped into the car in the passenger seat next to him! LOL! He said well I think you have the wrong car, and some man from a different car calls out, yeah, that's how I met her. LOL!!! I have walked up to the wrong car before, and tried my remote and it obviously didn't work, but I have never gotten in the wrong car. What about you?

*rolls in floor laughing* "Yeah, that his how I met her." That is hilarious! Like you, I have not actually gotten INTO the wrong car, but have stood there trying my FOB, and then when that didn't work, attempted to place my key in the door to the wrong vehicle! So very embarrassing! EVen more embarrassing is when I forget where I parked and I walk aimlessly throughout the parking lot looking for my vehicle!

Many years ago I walked through a parking lot, I thought this is my car and got my keys out of my pocket but before I put the key into that car something did not look quite familiar so I looked at the license plate and it was not my car, just the same make, model and color. I had to look for a while until I discovered my car, it was a huge parking lot.

Years ago, my mother used to manage the accounts and payroll of a small factory employing about 50 people. Each week the manager would drive with her (for security) to the bank to withdraw cash to make up the pay-packets. Because the bank was on a busy city street, he would wait in the car for her, except one week she hopped into the wrong car entirely - carrying several thousand pounds in her bag! Where I work now, about 5 people have the exact same car. They even have similar registration numbers (licence plates). It's quite funny to see them walk out to the car park and try the remote on 3 or 4 diifferent cars before finding their own!

I've never tried to get into the wrong car. That's one good thing about having a messy car, you know it's yours before you actually even try to open it up. :) Before I had my son, I had an '03 Silver 2 door Cavalier. Well, so does half of the rest of the population. I put a couple of stickers in my window to make it easier to spot it. And I memorized the license plate number. Once I moved up here, it was easier, because the Missouri license plate stuck out when compared to so many North Dakota ones. Now we drive a Malibu Maxx. It's not nearly as common of a car. We also have an older window shade in it for my son, so that makes it easier to find.

That is the funniest story! I have ALMOST gotten into the wrong car. I've opened the door, but realized my mistake. I've seen my mom almost do it as well. Now I just look to see what is hanging from the mirror because I know what I have there.

I can't see the colors at night, but I can see the shape, and that's enough for me to recognize it.

Oh my God- how funny! that is hysterical! I have gone as far as to open up the door- then I realized it wasn't my car- My daughter actually got in once- and I opened the door and said Pooh- this isn't our car- I ran away and could not help but laugh at her- She was so embarassed- I've never had anyone in the car when I made this mistake- it's always been empty- or I would know it isn't my car!

That is sooo funny!!! I have never actually gotten into the wrong car but I have tried! We all went to Home Depot one night and my soon pooped while we were in there so I went out to our truck to change his diaper. Well the key didn't work so I went back inside and told my husband something was wrong with the trruck because the key didn't work. He asked me if I tried both doors and I told him the passanger door didn't have a lock on it, so he tells me it does and I am thinking he doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. So I go back outside to the truck and of course the key doesn't work and the passanger door does not have a lock to try. So I am standing there like what and I going to do, my son is all poopy and needs to be changed and I can't get in the truck, and not to mention how are we going to get home?? Well I am looking around and a few aisles over is another black Dodge Ram 4-door truck....what are the odds?? So I go over and of course the doors open right up. I had been trying and trying to open the wrond truck. I felt like such an idiot but I was so thankgul that the owner of the other truck didn't come out as I was trying to get in his truck.
