I have been selling on ebay for awhile; but, the fees are rather high and the competition is cut throat at times.
I have been looking at overstock.com's auction area and they have lower fees and less categories than ebay.
Have any of you ever bought or sold anything at the auction part of overstock? If so what types of items did you buy/sell? What was your experience like?

I have been selling on ebay for years and have tried Overstock and don't like it at all. I actually purchased an item there, paid for it and never received it. It's been months and I'm not getting any help from them either.

Hi Speakeasy. I have sold on Ebay and Overstock. There is not enough traffic on Overstock, but it is cheaper. Ebay has gotten out of hand with fees, but they get all the lookers. I sould art, and I bought books. Good luck honey.

I've been selling on ebay for a few years now, and I agree, the fees are killing me. I've looked into overstock too, and amazon, and a few others. The thing that gets me with the other sites is you can list, but the fees come out of your account when you list the item instead of a monthly bill like ebay. I can't remember if overstock does it that way or not. Yahoo has a seller site too, but I didn't sell anything there either. But I did find a free place, no listing fees or seller fees. Totally free, but...I haven't sold anything there yet either. If you want to try it got to blujay.com. Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the information, I'll check out blujay.com also.
One of the previous responders listed iOffer and ePier.
iOffer is just that you offer something for sale and then you "bargain" if someone is interested.
ePier is an auction site and the listings are FREE. There is a final value fee and a few fees for things like being featured on the home page; but the fees are less than eBay's. So far though it doesn't look like a lot is being bought there; but, with free listings you can take your time.
Best of luck to you also.
