I found a great website with lots of fun food facts.
I really enjoy looking at all kinds of facts And thought this one would be fun to post here on MyLot.
So have a look at the website and tell me your favorite food fact on there.
Mine is:
Ice Cream Is Chinese Food!
When the famous explorer Marco Polo returned to his homeland of Italy, from China in 1295, he brought back a recipe (among other things). The recipe, was a Chinese recipe for a desert called "Milk Ice." However, Europeans substituted cream for the milk, and voila..."Ice Cream." Ice cream has been a hit ever since!
I mean who would have thought is was originally from China.

Wow those sure are interesting ^_^ I was especially surprised with the water fact that said that a portion of what we drink has been drunk several times already lol.. Who would've guessed ^_^

I didnt know that Ice cream was from China! LOL. I love ice cream, as well as any other American, LOL. No wonder why they always have ice cream available if you go to a chineese resturaunt. I just figured it was the easiest to have for a dessert. LOL. That is great! I will have to tell hubby! Thanks
