How do you say 'scone'?

Do you say sc-on or sc-own? I have a feeling they're called biscuits in America but I could be wrong (can a friendly American tell me please). I like a nice fresh sc-on with jam and clotted cream!

I say sc-on, I have never heard anyone saying sc-own, I love scones, jam and cream are beautiful, I also like cheese scones and here in Australia pumpkin scones are very popular thanks to the wife of a former Premier...

I say sc-own - my mother's Scottish, perhaps that's why? I might just be weird though.

I have some Scottish family members and they all say sc-own so I don't think it's because you're wierd! lol
