What did you learn when you were twelve? (I want to see how much the education differs between countrys,)

At twelve, in North Carolina, USA, I was in 7th grade. I had 4 core classes. In Social Studies we focused on world cultures and geography. In Math I was taking pre-algerbra. I don't remember much about the science class. In English, remember memorizing a Robert Frost poem, and having weekly volcabulary and spelling tests. I also had band class and a health/physical education class. I think this would be interesting, but it is hard to remember what I was studying when I was 12. I could remember high school better, but I know that many small high schools were not able to offer many of the advanced classes I was able to take.

I also had four core classes, English, Math, Chinese, Science. In Math we learned about algebra. For Science my favourite topic was plasma. For English the most interesting was about propoganda. I don't remember much about chinese.
