This is actually a very common fear. It is called Coulrophobia. Clowns were not originally made for children, but for adults. She may eventually outgrown the fear or you may want to help her get treatment. Kids will be kids, when it comes to arguing and fighting, but more often than not, they will be good buddies when they get older.

My nephew who is 2 years old is afraid of clowns. I never liked clowns either. Maybe because they are sometimes used as characters on horror films that's why I sort of don't like them too. It was my nephews 2nd birthday that we had clowns to entertain the kids. When the clowns appeared my nephew just screamed and go to her mommy.

I do not know of anyone that is afraid of clowns. I don't really know why people are afraid of them, they don't really look that scary to me or at all.

Yes I know a few people who are scared of clowns. This one girl that I know wont go into a room with them in at all. She was scared of them from six months old and is now thirteen and is still scared. I myself dont like some of them some are just odd and have a haunted look about them. My youngest child calls them nobodies not clowns.
