Asia XI Vs Africa XI

Currently a match is going in between Asia XI and Africa XI. Normally in these types of games players play ruthlessly. They try to score on every ball. On every ball they try either for a 4 or 6. Do you think this is Cricket in real terms? And also do you think these types of matches are of any use? Don't you think it's just the wasteage of time and not only this by arranging this we are putting extra burden there on the shoulders of the players. Cricket is a team game and i my views these types of matches no way bringing a team spirit in them.

These Afro-Asia cup matches have an international status.Whatever runs scored or records created will be taken into account. These matches will be far more interesting if the best talent from both the continents play.Currently some are not playing due to personal reasons & county commitments..

And it also give players like sehwag who is out of form and sreesanth who was injured chance to come back in form and fitness at a big stage playing some of top cricketers with lot less pressure, something they would surely enjoy.

I agree there really is not that thrill, excitement, sentiment attached as when india is playing pakistan. I feel such games help to popularise cricket in asia and africa as hopefully non crikcet playing nations will take interest. And hopefully with money generated from these games, the asian crikcet council and it's african counterpart should use funds generated to poularisethe game in their continents. Players seem to enjoy these games as there is not too much pressure to perform. It can be fun.
