I was out side this morning and my neighbor was getting ready to take his three year old son to day care as his father was getting into the truck the little boy says wait daddy I cant go to school. The dad ask him why? He turns to his father and says mommy is sick today and cant get out of bed so I have to stay home and take care of her because that is what she does when I am sick. I could not help but smile and tell his father how can you say no to something as sweet as that. Have your children ever done anything like that? It was so cute!!

Awww...that is precious. Sadly, the only children I know don't tend to do cute stuff like that...but maybe my future neice or nephew will.

that was so sweet of the child to say and think. little kids these days know a lot and understand so many things already in their early age. and that kid understands life in a sweet and thoughtful way. the story is simple but touched my heart. i am not a mother yet. but i have heard lots of stories like that. and most of the time, it really feels good that even in this fast paced quick changing world, there are children who grow on the good side of life. happy myLotting!

Aww, how sweet! Last week I dropped a wooden tv table on my big toe (ouououch!) and we got a laugh for days at how my son tried to help me out. Asking often "mommy, are you aw wight"? The first night when I was walking with a limp he limped around behind me. My husband set me up with a bucket to soak it for a while. After that, while I sat with my foot on a pillow my son would stick his hand in the bucket of water and touch my toe with it...... "aw wight, mommy?" I think I cried more over how sweet and cute he was about it then I cried for the pain.

Oh this was lovely, My youngest son is really sensitive to everyones needs and if you cry he will get a tissue and give you a big hug. If someone has blood on them he will get a bandaide. He is really sweet to everyone. Though its my eldest daughter who will step up if I am sick and will take on the mother role and I do love them for this.

That is really cute! My son used to say things like that when he was younger and really mean them. Now, he is 12 and usually when he says things like that now, it just means that he wants something! Not all the time, but a lot of the time. He has learned what an allowance is, and he does do alot of things around the house for us, so we give him a weekly allowance. But, if only he could be as cute as when he was younger when he is telling me he will do something for me, instead of saying "how much money will I get if I do that?" Kids, what would we do without them!

Some kids are so cute, especially when they acknowledge how much mommy and daddy love and care for them. It's genuine! My son used to yell in the grocery store, "I love you mommy," and everyone would just smile.

In a sense yes. I had a bad pregnancy. I was sick the whole nine months, and because of a previous surgery, and a big hormonal change I became motion sick. I couldn't walk two feet in front of me before i would throw up. My sons would always ask if it was because I was having a baby. I said yes sorta. I tried to explain. My oldest son was 4 turning 5. He said maybe we should not have a baby. It makes you too sick. When I get too sick from my frut you take it away so i don't get sick anymore. Maybe we should give the baby back. Can god take it away? It made me laugh. BUt sadly no it doesn't work that way. On a sunday we were all supposed to go to church and I was so sick I could not get out of bed(still pregnant) My 4 year old told my husband he needed to stay home so I wouldn't be scaredwhen I was sick. He told my husband if he was sick, I would stay with him. My husband felt so bad, he undressed the boys and stayed home. I have a very loving child. I am greatful at such a young age they can be so loving. I hope it lasts into the teen years.

There is nothing you can do when the little darlings say something like that but to give them there way. Your husband did the right thing. I know it had to melt your heart to hear him say that. I am sure their love will last (at for us anyway).

The small things which kids do for the parents are really appreciated by us.I still remember while i was cutting the vegetables in the kitchen i happen to cut my finger with the knife, my daughter rushed to the cupboard opened the first aid box & gave it to me. She helped me to do the bandage. Although later we went to the doctor but the firstaid helped me to some extent.
