myLot laundry pros, I need your help LOL My husband always wears a pair of white crew socks with his sneakers when he cuts the grass. He takes care to wear old sneakers that he keeps just for doing yard work... but the ribbed ankle of his socks gets full of tiny grass clippings and they really get STUCK in there!! I wash them thoroughly and even re-wash the same socks multiple times but I can't seem to get those darn grass bits out!! The socks are now so clean they're sterilized LOL but I'm still picking out tiny blades of grass. UGH!! Is there a trick to this that anyone knows about - short of insisting that he keep only one pair of socks to wear when cutting the lawn???

Hi sammantha! Nice to "see" you :) And thank you for your suggestion! I never use bleach or other products unless I'm dealing with a stain that can't be pre-soaked away so I'm absolutely willing to try whatever people say works for them! :)

My mom used this whenI was a kid and we always had grass staind and dirty socks all the time. She used to stained her hard wood floors all the time and she used it then too.Now that I am married and have kids of my own I still to this day use it I put them in a mop buket.

LOL tammy!!! I never considered that the right answer might be "just have him wash his own socks and you won't SEE the grass" LOL I've often told him he could skip the socks, since it would be easier for him to wash his ankles than for me to wash his socks.... but he's not diggin' the idea. I think he's highly unconcerned with my laundry dilemmas hee hee! Thanks for a fun response!! ;)
