Do you watch car racing? Which do you prefer NASCAR or Indy racing? I like Danaca Patrick in Indy racing. I think NASCAR has more viewers. Do you have a favorite driver? Do you think racing as teams takes away from the competition? I have to think it is not really as fun as it was in the old days of the 50-70s when they got into fights and juiced up the cars to get an edge. Now all the cars seem have to be the same.

Never been to a drag race. We went to a "tractor pull" in the Houston Astrodome one time. My ears buzzed for a long time. I really don't like loud noise. Even some music concerts are too loud for me. That is why I would rather watch on tv. Besides, that way I can change the channel!

I personally prefer Open-wheel racing, like IRL or CART as opposed to NASCAR. Something about those open-wheel cars has always intrigued me. As far as favorite drivers, I don't really have many. I like Dan Wheldon in IRL, and I do follow Danica Patrick cause it's always interesting with her and the storylines, but no one driver I can call a favorite. I like the team format, and I like that the cars are the same. I think it really does separate the great drivers from the less-talented when the equipment is all the same.

Yeah I still have a hard time thinking about those Inday cars. They are so close to the ground. I know racing is now big business instead of the good ole boys running in the old days. My husband and stepdaughter like to follow Jmmy Johnson in the Lowe's car. She does work for Lowe's. LOL. I remember the old IROC series where that had several equally equiped cars. Sometimes tho I think it takes a little of the fun out when you have to compete against your own team.

I watch a car race once in a while. Even though all the cars seem to be the same now that just means that the drivers and their pit crews have to more skillful. I think it makes for better competition.

I guess so. I've never really been a big fan. I watch occasionally. When I was in high school years ago a lot of my guy friends would, since we lived in South Carolina, drive to Daytona or Talledega to see the races.
