or not like to see more of here on myLot? There are a lot of different discussions, and a lot fo different topics here on mylot.
Is there any discussions that you would like to see more of, or discussions you think myLot can do without? I think this would be a good way for us to get to know about some of our myLot friends, and what they think about :).

I like discussions where the first aspect of it is well thought out to provoke thoughtful responses. Whether it be volatile discussions on religeon and politics, to lighter ones on music, life, dinner... Something well presented and thought out with a genuine question... like this one.
Also the completely redundant ones like the 4000 what's your favorite song are getting old.

I know the type of discussions you are talking about pallidyne. I have always made it a point to try and present a well thought out discussion when I post. I also like to respond to topic like that, and I prefer ones that I know the poster will comment back making it an actual discussion.

I would very much like to see more political discussions. Both about issues and candidates. This seems like a great place to learn from one another and to see things from a view point that is decidedly different from your own.
I'm also fond of anything that makes me think, or delves into why people are the way they are, think they way they do, and act the way they act.
As for discussions I could do without, all the plugs for stupid money making things, and the "what's your favorite color" type discussions. Please people, give me something with substance, not something that manatee's picked out at random. (50 points to the first person who can tell me where that reference came from)

That was a good episode of South Park! hhehehehehe I do enjoy most of your discussions, they make me think about things, and a good place for me to add my 2 cents. There are some that I don't know enough about to really have an opinion on so instead of showing my ignorence I just leave well enough alone. Nothing fustrates me more then someone jumping into a conversation and not knowing what's going on lol. I like you would much rather have a discussion on something good then some one liner about colors. And i enjoy discussions that are more conversations, (you know that lol. I do have to say that on a few you have left me somewhat speachless which doesn't happen very often.)

You win the 50 points! I loved that episode and am a huge Family Guy fan to boot.
We're in agreement that discussions that are true discussions (as opposed to blog posts) are much better than ones where someone posts a question and abandons the thread. Although I have done that on occasion myself (bad filmbuff).
What I like about your discussions and someone like say transdisc or lecanis is that the topics are usually interesting and many view points come out. People (and by people I mean me) actually learn something.
My disscussions have left you speechless? Which ones? I hope that was a compliment... haha

Yeah me i get 50 points!! I knew there was no such thing as watching too much South Park heheheh. You know how I am I will discuss something as long as I can lol. But a couple of times now you have pretty summed everything up and i couldn't say anything else lol. It's not a bad thing by any means. I am not often at a loss for words lol. I do like seeing differing opinions about things. I like getting different points of veiw.

Since my time on here is limited, I tend to respond to discussions I can answer fairly quickly and still come up with a somewhat interesting answer! LOL. I absolutely hate discussions talking about bedroom problems of any sort and what would you do if your best friend slept with so and so. Not interested! Also not interested in the ones that just post jokes. I have mostly taken care of that type of problem by being pretty picky about choosing my friends list, and then mostly just answer their discussions. That keeps me plenty busy. If it is too "deep"...such as do I think homose*uality it sinful; or is Christianity the only way to get to heaven; etc...I lots of time will pass them up also. Just depends. Don't know if this helped you or not! LOL

It just depends on the day...some days I can find plenty of discussions I can respond to, and other days, I find myself deleting a lot of discussions and moving on.

I have days that I will go through pages and pages of discussions before i find one that I can actually say something that contributes to the conversation. Not that they are bad discussions persay, Usually someone has already said what I would have said or I don't know enough about a topic to contribute anything intelligent.
