I took a screen shot of my paypal payment and I went to Paint and pasted the picture. I saved it on the desktop. When I went to xnview (an image editor) I couldn't see it on the desktop because it was .bmp. I want to edit it in order to crop it and hide my personal information. How can I open this .bmp image to crop it and convert it to a jpeg.

When you save it go to file and choose 'save as'. under the name of the file you can chose the format that it is saved in, just chose 'jpeg' You should edit it in paint before you save it.

When you are done editing that screen shot in Paint, just make sure that you save as jpg or jpeg and not save as the default bmp. You can actually choose the format that you want to save to in Paint.
