I've set up my blog a few weeks ago. Recently, I checked Google and found technoratti. Technoratti asked me to register my blog and to claim it. To claim it, I have to give them the password of my blog. Is that normal or is this a scam? Anybody knows what technoratti does? Thanks

Hi, You don't need to give technoratti your blog password. What you need to do is join technorattin (and create a new username and password) then you can claim your blog - to do that you give the blog url and you have several ways to claim it - either via a blog post or by embedding code into your blog etc. At no time though do you need to give them your blog password. Technoratti is another good way to get traffic to your blog - when you're claiming it you can list up to 20 keywords etc so people can find you.

technorati is one of the top blog directories you can add other blogs to your favorites and put a technorati add to favorites badge on your blog. it helps your blog popularity and page rank go up for the search engines and that way you get more readers. take a look at my blog to see what technorati looks like http://mailboxmoney.blogspot.com or http://www.blogchex.com/urbancitycrew you can claim your blog with blogger in different ways but i dont think its a risk to security
