Just don't make me choose!

"Promise me one thing...NEVER make me choose between you and AFI."
That is what i just said to my best friend, Jason (fromthemirror). i know he would never ever make me do this. AFI is just as important to him. Of course if it boiuled down to it, i would probably choose Jason, though. Sadly. But it would kill me.
What is one thing you would tell your best friend or significant other to never make you choose between them and that thing?

i won't give up my cats, either! Eff that! my cats mean sooooooooooo much to me and if my best friend or significant other can't accept them, too effing bad! Good thing my best friend likes my cats! LOL

If it were my best friend I would have to say to never make me choose between them and God or them and my family. If it were my husband I would say, never make me choose between him and God. People in your life all have an order of importance to you.
It is up to you to decide what is most important to you, but you may lose some people in your life, due to the choices that you make. I have to best friends that are almost completely opposite of each other. I would want to choose the more sensible one over the more rambunctious, but she also has good qualities, in spite of her unruliness.
So there would be no way for me to choose one with out hurting the other. Friendship can be very slippery in that respect. So you have to be very careful of the order of importance that you give to things and people.
