what will you choose anime or manga? for me manga is the foundation of anime while anime gives life to manga. So what do you think about it? what will you choose? :)

I like to read the manga first to see if I will enjoy the anime. I also find it makles the filler episodes more enjoyable since they are completely new, unlike the main story whihc I have already read.

Depends. For some series--such as NGEvangelion and Peacemaker Kurogane--I'd choose to read the manga than watch the anime... yeah, for some reasons. But for animes like Gundam Seed and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, I found that watching the anime version is a lot more interesting than reading the manga =) Yeah... it really depends...

i would watched the anime first, if the next episode taking too long a coming, i would then read all mangas of the anime. then after 5 months or so ill again watched the succeeding episodes of the animes.

I simply agree to what you mentioned about how manga and anime contribute to each other. Well for my response on topic, I would often say that I prefer the manga for its liberty in content compared to the anime version due to the inhibitions it goes through so that it can be watched by more viewers. Then, there are simply those mangas that can be fully appreciated with movement. I would always consider mangas with action and alot of movement, like fight scenes, into anime. So, it really depends on the content to distinguish how it can be more appreciated than just basing on the medium that they would come from.

i choose both, reading the manga gives you a different aspect of the anime, but the anime gives you something to watch instead of imagine. your right in the fact that manga is the foundation, and anime gives life to the manga. so why choose only one out of the two. why not choose both and have double the happy.

i can't choose between the two. sometimes the anime is better than the manga and vice versa. i like how the manga does into more depth than the anime. but i also like how i can see the story progress just by watching.
