It is true that until we have our own kids, thats the time we pay back our mother, appreciate our mother and love our mother more. That's what happen to me...I love my mum more that anything else, im proud of how she brought me up in this world and how she takes care of me. Now i have my own, i wants to be like her and i love to be like her. The question is can we be like our mother?

While I love, respect, and appreciate my mother, I do not want to emulate her parenting style. She was a very young mother and struggled with patience and understanding, but she did the best she knew how. I feel it is up to me to improve on the things I can in my parenting skills. I am much more patient and relaxed than she was and more strict in many areas. It is true that I did not appreciate all that she had given us until I had kids. I was able to go from thinking she was a bad mom to realizing she was doing all she could.

True, i think our parents or mother takes a lot of experience from us and now it's our duty to carry on and some might be corrected those that we don't agree or have create a little bit of damage in our life.

I love my mother, even though she gave me away at thirteen. I don't want to follow her parenting. Having my kids has actually made our relationship worse. But, I'm glad for you. You must have a great mother to want to be like her. She did a great job!!
