Are you a twin and are you close to your twin?

Does anyone out there have a twin sister or brother and are they close? My twin and I are very close we live 700 miles away from each other and do not visit each other often but we talk on the phone almost daily. I am disabled with some illness which the doctors cannot decided what I have. She is currently on state disablilty diagnosis with MS and we have a lot of the same symptoms. It is so frustrating for me to see her sick, one thing she has and I do not is a lot of leg and knee pain. She gets so much pain she is naucous from it. I on the other hand have total body jerking, dizzy spells, lack of balance, and other symptoms but very little pain.
My older sister and I went to see my twin and it broke my heart to see my twin in so much pain. She hurts to move around, she hurts to sit and ride in a car, she hurts all the time. She has pain meds but does not want to live on narcotics the rest of her life. We are only 48.
The worst problem is the exhaustion for both of us. We are both dieting and eating well, we are taking our vitiams we just want answers for me and help for her.
Is anyone else out there a twin and are you close to your twin?

First of all, I empathize with you. It feels really awful to have a sibling who is in sick and in deep pain (my brother had a brain tumor), what more if it's a twin...
I've got a twin sister. We are identical (or should I say "monozygotic"...I just watched National Geographic's special "In the Womb:Multiples") twins. People say we look alike but I think we looked more alike when we were younger. Anyway, we have the same interests...we were almost always in the same class during our school years, we even have the same degree in college (and classmates at that!)! So close? I'd say so...sometimes I wonder why we're even two separate people!

I think you're right! Anyway I pray that you'll be free of pain (and your sister, too!)...we somewhat have different strengths and weaknesses.
I guess you still have that special bond with your twin even if you're not identical since you formed the bond in the womb. I suppose the pain is lessened and the happiness is doubled when you share it to someone so close!

You are right we are close. We talked yesterday. Sometimes I just need to hear her voice then I am OK. I find she is on my mind a lot of the day. I guess you and your sister are like that. I am close to my older sister but not like this.

For some reason you are so special there needed to be two of you. We are not idential. She is so dear to me just the same. Yesterday she had a migrain all day and I had a headache all day. I do not know if we here picking up on it of just a coincidence or not. Today she felt a little better I did too.

I have a beautiful twin sister who I look up to and adore very much. I am 45 minutes older than her, even though people say she looks older than me. She actually acts older too and I tend to follow her lead. We are very very close and even though we don't look alike, we sort of feel when each other is not doing so well. She lives in New Zealand and I live in USA. We talk as often as we can via phone, email, chat and even texting. I miss her everyday. I am sorry to hear what you both are going through. I would hate to see my sister in pain especially if there was nothing I could do to help ease her pain.

It hurts me to see my twin in so much pain. I went and saw her and her knees hurt her so much. I just laid my hand on her knee and she came unglued. She is not a wimp when it comes to pain. I cried when we had to leave each other. I love her so much. We talk almost everyday. Yayaya

I am not sure you would count me however being a Gemini I am a twin in myself. I buy two of things very often. Am dual natured and have a fondess for actual twins. I am glad to make your acquaintance since you are a twin yourself. Am glad you have stories of the farm and hope to hear alot more. From this twin single to you the real twin have a great weekend.

Thank you. I talked to my twin almost everyday we talked today she had a spinal tap two days ago to make sure she had MS. She was in so much pain. I hate to see her hurting or hear she is ill.

i have twin sons. they are healthy and somewht close, of course they fight a little but very concerned and protected of the other. its heart breaking to hear about ur sister, i pray she recovers fast and u both live a long life. and as for u , i feel she's lucky to have a twin sis like u so caring and concerned. and u very good natured may good bless u both

Thanks for your kind words. I hate to see my sis in such bad pain. She is a person who use to out work most men. She pushes herself so much. He has a garden which is over an acre large. She is trying to sell her veggies. She also takes care of her hubby and does what needs to be done in the home. She is finding out that about two days a week she sleeps all day and needs to keep off her feet. I know if the time comes she needs to be in a wheel chair it will be very hard for her. My heart breaks for her.
When we where together we at times we just sat and held hands, or huged. It was so nice to get that kind of love. I cried when we left each other. She is so dear to me. As children mom told us daily we where not wanted nor loved. At least I had my twin to love me and want me and that continues to this day. Yes we have our hubbies, and our children but our love is strong.

your life touches my heart, there are certain things we have to accept rather than be emotional. stop worrying a dn see wht u can do to help her by all means. stop taking pity on her and help her out .she looks like a strong person as she wants to be self reliantant by selling veegg why not involve her in something she loves and whatever be her disease try to find info and get her cured, if impossible pray for a miracle. u never know when angels stand by , i am sure both of u who are so loving and close deserve a miracle and i pray it happens fast

i hear that about twins all the time and i think it's pretty cool. i'd love to have a twin but i bet that might not be the case if i were one. the only way i'm any kind of twin relates to my sun sign, gemini. my fiance's a gemini too and it makes it quite nuts between us. lol i'm getting off subject but that's a gemini thing in itself, lol

We where abused as children but we always had each other. What we went through we went through together which is the worst and the best thing about it.
