Any use this brand? If so, what do you think of it?

I like how they list all of the ingredients for the food on their website and that they use better ingredients (free range chicken, naturally caught fish).
We may try this out because the Meow Mix pouches just don't seem to feed the needs of our cats. They shed more, their coats don't look right, they have dander, after eating this brand since the recall just don't seem to like the food as much and Vanessa seems to be throwing up a lot more. We are almost out of our wet food supply so I need to find an alternative ASAP.

Never heard or tried that one. But after looking at their site, looks like it's pretty good. Sounds like it's going to be expensive though lol...but definitely worth it. I just mentioned on another post, I'm going to check into making our own dog/cat food, this recall stuff is getting ridiculous. If you try that stuff, let us know how it works!

I just looked it up on Petco to see what the price was....ouch lol.
The larger bag of dry cat food, 6 lbs I think, was about 13.00. The 25 lb bag of dog food was 38.00...with 3 dogs and 2 cats, there's no way I could afford that...But it still sounds good though. Too bad companies put such a high price tag on the better stuff...

I thought they were going to be more expensive as well - especially when I saw Petco and Whole Foods as distributors. We use Nutro and the Pet Promise is LESS than what I would pay.
The wet canned cat food works out to $1.08 for a 5.5oz can (2 meals for our cats, $.54 a meal). Prior to the recall, 2 Nutro pouches (3 oz ea) at Petsmart were running $1.30 ($.65 ea when not on sale).
The Nutro Natural Choice Indoor is $9.99 for the 4lb bag, $17.99 for the 8lb bag. (in-store non-sale prices)
I have found that Petco's in-store and online price often vary. So the food may be even cheaper in the store.
How much do you normally pay for cat food?
I am going to buy a few cans this afternoon (I may stop at both Petco & Whole Foods to check out the pricing) and I will let you know how the feeding goes.

I don't
believe we get this cat food in Australia. It is a vey interesting site. Very ethical.
Just out of interest, what is the problem with rice protein concentrate & wheat gluten?
It is a good idea not to have presevatives, articifical colours, flavours & antibiotics in cat food.

There was a huge recall of pet food that contained rice and/or wheat gluten due to a contaminated batch from China that killed quite a few cats & dogs and made others very ill.
