How to you stop your daughter from getting wild?

I've been told that I must put my foot down with my 13 year old NOW or she is going to be wild and promiscuous (not sure of spelling). How do I do this? Lock her in her room until she's grown? She's a good girl and still a virgin (I believe) but I can't be around her 24/7. What should I do without causing a wedge between the two of us?

There is no way you are going to be able to protect her forever. You can let her know that you will be there to listen to her and support her, no matter what she does. Case in point. My mother told my sister to call her, if anything ever went wrong. My sister was at a party, and her boyfriend was drinking. He wanted her to get in the car with him, but my sister refused. Instead she called Mom. Mom was not upset with my sister for being at a party where there was drinking, rather Mom was happy with my sister for using her GOOD JUDGEMENT and calling for a ride home, instead of getting in a car with the drunk boyfriend, to "hide" what had happened.

Thanks for your response. I hope my daughter and I have this same closeness, which I think we do.
