Do you look after your parents when they turn old?

Well,if my parents like,i will be very glad to bring them to my house to live with my family.But you know,some parents like live in their own house.So unless they are too old to move and must be taken care of by others,they do not want to live in others' houses,even in their children's. So i would like they to choose.I think the most important thing is let them happy.

I will always look after my parents when they grow or turn old, and I would not just look after my parents but I will also look after my aunts. They are all good to me and they deserve my sincerity and love when they turn old. I know that my parents and aunt will not live with me when I get to have my own family because that is their sign that they respect my private life with my family. But I will always visit them and give them whatever I want. My dream is to give my big family the things that they deserve and the things that will make them happy especially when they grow old. I love my family. I will never leave them alone.

My father 4 years ago called me saying, "Bob I have to live with you." He had another stroke and could not care for himself like he wished he could. So I have been my dads care giver for almost 4 years now. He lives with me and I cook for him, I bathe him, I drive him where he needs to go etc. It's my job as a son to take care of him I feel. Actually,i also plan to settle down maybe 6 years from now. And also onced asked my parents what they would feel when someday i have to move to another place or country to build my own family. They said,it is better for me to plan my future and don't have to worry about them coz they are prepared when these things happend someday. I have seen lots of families still living with their parents and i don't actually,like this idea. I love my family but i don't think i can be with when settling down.

it's normal for children to look after their parents when they get old. but nowadays old people are very independent. they make their own lives when the children start leaving the house. the most important thing is never forget them. always make it a point to be in touch wherever you are. it makes them feel important and loved.
