Ok parents does your silverware come up missing?? Everytime I do the dishes I find less and less. I have come to the conclusion that my kids eat it!!! They have to!! Where else could it be?? LOL Im going to start buying plastic silverware for them to use. Less expencive than replacing silverware all the time!! So do you have this problem?? Does your silverware come up missing??

Have you checked under the beds? In the sofa cushions? It's amazing where kids put their stuff. I guess it is one of the reasons why we should insist they eat all food at the table, and only at the table. My husband was leaving his silverware at work. I always put a spoon in for his pudding and a fork if I am giving him leftovers. He started leaving the silverware at work, though denied it. So a couple of years ago my sister gave him a bunch of forks for Christmas. Just forks. She probably bought them at a thrift store or something. LOL!

Hahaha!LOL This is so totally my house. I started out with a couple of spoons and a ton of forks. Now it is the other way around. I have bought cheap 6/for $1 at walmart and they still go missing. i bought the kids their own colorful plastic ones and they go missing. I have two guesses as to where they go having witnessed it a few times. One is my 1 year old runs off with them and hides them. We find them in the bathtub or under the couch or in books. Pretty wierd. The other is the trash. My older ones get lazy and forget when clearing their plates in the trash it helps to keep the fork from falling in. We have recovered a few this way, but sadly not all. Good luck. Maybe in your search you might come up with the missing sock thing too. Lol

I was thinking the same thing last night when I was doing the dishes. My coffe cups have been disappearing too but I located them in my boyfriends truck.lol. But I know I had more silverware than I do now. And I can't figure out what happened to them. I only have one child in the house and he is 15 so I am almost sure he is not using them outside to dig a moat or something else.

I live alone, and I have a tendency to find missing silverware under sofa cushions, under the bed, in my pile of dirty laundry, etc... . I bet children have more imaginative places. I would look in gardens, sandboxes, the local park.

All I can say is if you happen to find any of my silverware while you're looking for yours I'd love to have it back! I think kids have hiding places that adults can not find and that's where all the silverware and socks go. I just buy the cheap Walmart stuff now, silver/plastic ware, plates, bowls, cups.... Check the toybox too. My four year old collects spoons and says they are his friends.

You know I have had this problem before. And still do to this day. My husband and I are always talking about how the forks and stuff are missing. I believe my kids throw them away or something. I have bought plastic forks also so I dont have to buy new silver its redicolus.

I think my silverware is at your house. In the sandbox, behind the shed, under the deck. I know you have it. Well, I know what to get you for Christmas now. A metal detector. LOL When do kids eat with silverware anyway? From now on it is finger foods all the way. Hey, how 'bout we design a GPS tracking device for silverware, so you can follow those little devils to their hideouts. Now that is an idea!!!!!! LOL The question is...would we want them back?
