Of the names being discussed the best of the lot was without doubt Dave Whatmore. With his credentials with both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, he has shown that he can groom youngsters to become world beaters which is what India currently needs. But, strange are the ways in which our BCCI works and his name was dropped even before the shortlisting and the two new names came up. Now, Ford and Emburey would vie for the post. How Gavaskar is backing Emburey, God only knows? I think the little master has just lost it to his ego a bit. I think Ford can be an ok choice, but how his tactics with South Africa can work with India still remains to be seen. Cheers! Ram

team should move along as they are doing right now.people come to this arena with lot of talent and practice. theses players don't need a coach.what they need is a Manager and there are experienced players for help.if anybody gets into any kind of trouble with form or anything related to game they can always refer to the other guys. this solves the problem very well.

I think an Indian should be appointed as the coach at this particular situation.Guys have done a great job in Bangladesh with Ravisasthri as the team manager.I think he is the best person to have as the new coach. We have been trying foreign coaches for a long time...It should change and we should try out an Indian this time.
