Is it OK to strip your way through college?

I know a few college girls who are strippers. They seem to simultaneously hate and love their work. I guess if it pays for their books and tuition. Although, I think it kind of exploits their bodies, but maybe it's just as bad to have a job at a desk where your time is exploited. Of course, I'm not going to laugh when they graduate!

The money is so good that most of them stay in that business long after graduation. As long as they are not breaking the law, I don't see a problem with what they are doing. There is good monet to be made from doing that kind of work, may as well give that money to somebody who will use it to further themselves and society eventually (i.e. paying tuition and becoming better educated)

I get what you're saying, I agree that eventually they'll use that money to become engineers or doctors. I don't know the average pay of strippers, tho, LOL.

I think if a girl has a nice body and wants to take advantage of that blessing to earn herself some extra money, then it's fine! As long as she keeps things under control and just sticks to dancing and working in clubs then there should be no problem with it. Plus, why not have people admire your beauty while getting paid?

LOL, good point, but I challenge you. Fine, if you want to extend that...would you ever strip to make it through college?

Ha, well then, if you looked good enough to be a stripper, then would you? By the way, not that i've been to many strip clubs, but the girls are usually quite normal looking, they just know how to dance.

Well, I don't think I look good enough to be a stripper so it doesn't really apply to me~

I knew a few girls back in the day who were working their way through college or university....I know many strippers including myself who were supporting families by stripping.....IMO so long as you keep yourself on the up and up (no extras etc) its not a bad job at all...And back in the day workin the circut doin shows rather than being a table dancer was DEFINATELY the way to make money...I made a killing during my yrs in the biz...

I was a stripper while in college and then as some said here, I did stay with it long after school was done as I could earn far more in far less time than I could in my career choice. It was a great experience for me, and I don't regret it all. Yes, there are some downsides to the business but my experience wasn't bad. If I compared it any "straight" job I had over the years, there was far fewer negatives to dancing then there were to those other jobs.

Maybe it all depends on your outlook? I think most people wouldn't care if their doctor was once a stripper. In fact, I think people would go to an OBGYN or Psychiatrist with a colorful background. Whatever makes money, keeps you alive?

I say good for them, if they enjoy it and it helps them graduate. If you have the guts and the body to do something like that - go for it. I know I couldn't!

It does take a lot of guts to go up and perform. I think a lot of the girls are just good dancers, and they enjoy having people watch them dance. There are classy strip clubs and then not so classy strip clubs, it all depends.

LOL, banish them to an island, only for strippers! Maybe they need their own union and health insurance. I want to see a social study about strippers and what they're like.
