If you found out that you were adopted...

what would you do? Would you go and find your real parents, or just be settled to live with your "family"? If this happened to me, I guess a part of me would want to look for my real parents but the fact that they allowed me to be adopted by strangers will hurt me forever. Also I would ask permission first from my adoptive parents if they will allow me to find them.

If ever I found out that I'm adapted I would not hold any grudge to my adopted parents like some many other dramas that I watched. It just makes me sick why some people would even run away from home after they found at that they were adopted. What I would do is to thank them for adopting me and promise them that I will not have a change of heart with regards to them being my parents. I may also ask permission if they could tell me who my real parents were and why was I given for adoption. All I need is to know. I may not however try to look for them.

What good does it make you to look for your bilogical parents? They have abandoned you when you were born and now you are going to search for them. I think it hurts the feelings of your adoptive parents even if they gave you the green light. I think it is not right as it will only bring tension to your adoptive parents. I have two adopted daughters and I wouldn't allow them to know their roots for fear that it will make them feel a second class children to me. I might be selfish but it will not bring them back to where they come from at least I have given them love and proper upbringing.
