Hello Bluishrose ;) Wow, that was ten years ago.I remember I was very excited that I had a long list of things I plan to buy for my first salary. When I received my salary, I got confused which among the things to buy first so I put 75% of it in a savings account and pondered which item to buy first and 25% of it was spent on my allowance.

if i can remember it right my first salary was around P600 or $85 way back 1978 when the exchange rate was $1 to P7. i gave my mom 75% of the amount for buying grocery items and i used the remaining amount to purchase a LEVI's denim pants which i considered as my first remembrance from my first earnings.

Yap, 3/4 of it to my mom. The remainder served as my allowance. I was so excited then because for me at last I can already help my mom.
