Why do celebrities have to sell their kids photos?

i have heard that Tom Cruise have plans selling Suri's pic for 1 million dollars. well, i know that they are celebrities but putting their baby's pic in business would not be a good idea.

Well I know some celeb sell them and then give the money too charties.. I'd rather them sell them for good causes then have people steal them and post them everywhere.
