How many people here donates blood on a regular basis? every 3 months? Donating Blood is one of the true charity giving. You give not to your friends, relatives, family or anyone you know personally. YOU GIVE TO STRANGERS. The stranger may be of different religion, race or color they will get your blood. For all we know, some of the most heated debate in MyLot where mortal arch enemies are made, your blood may go to THAT person. Believe me, donating blood is no more painful than an ant bite. Fear of needle? Get over it and do something good instead of talking about living in harmony and peace and all other lip service materials that goes on in here. Help those in need esp if you have O type blood.

I wish I could give blood, but I can't. I have thalassemia, so no one wants my blood. My husband does give blood when he can, though. We are both O+ but that is pretty common here.

I'm pretty sure that O+ and A+ are the two most common types of blood in the US as a whole.

Im 23 and turning 24 in few months time. I've been donating blood since the age of 20 eversince and on a regular basis, because i love the feeling after where you know you have extended someone else's lives and not only that it is also healthy for us donors to donate our blood because it triggers our blood forming organs to produce more blood components therefore we feel heathier and cleaner than ever. I also would like to ask for other people to donate their blood...the feelings really different.

For 2 years now, I am regularly donating blood and every time I am in the process, I feel like I am saving someone's life. The fulfillment of it is one thing that any material thing cannot match.

there is a belief among hospital staffs, that blood donors are rarely the group that have blood related diseases. meer superstitions or is it that since you have "done" you part "life" does not you to experience blood related problems. I dunno but heck if i want to be in the shoe of the old man i saw in the hospital waiting room begging the other patients and visitors to please donate blood type 'O' for his ailing daughter. glad to know one mylotter is a fellow blood donor. Keep it up.
