I met my husband online and we lived together for a year and a half. Then got married on valentines day. Would you marry your online mate?

I have never gone online to meet anybody so i do not know if icould ever do it. But I have a cousin who met a man online and married him. They have 3 kids and one kid from his previous marriage. He is not a good husband for her. He is a bad provider, a basic over all loser. Her family hates him for all the crap he puts my cousin and her kids through. But she is still withhim so ther must be some kind of connection. I think an online match can work out if done right. Both parties have to be honest. A good relationship will only last through good friendship. Online that is what you do first before you see or meet them. You build a conncetion with words. I like the beauty in that.

well ya, there may be a possibility to that , bt i have never met anyone interesting on the net and if i meet someone then i woud like to meet her and know her in person, as online identities can be sometimes deceptive

Yup! My husband and I have been together offline for eight years, and married for three of those years. We have a wonderful 1-year-old son. Whenever I tell people that I met my husband online, they act really strange about it. I've had a lot of people who don't know how long we've been together make guesses about how long it will last, like 6 months or a year, and they're always amazed to hear how long we have already been together =p I wasn't planning to meet a partner when I started talking online, I really just wanted to make friends and such. But there were just so many things that I found easy to talk to him about, and he was so kind to me, as were his friends who are now my offline friends as well.

I don't know if I could or couldn't. That would be tough and it can work. Good luck with the marriage, hopefully it'll continue to be good. I do believe it is possible. I really don't know anyone that's ever married someone they met strictly online. Like I said, good luck with it.

I too met my now husband online. We met in real life in July of 1998 and have been together since. We've lived together since 1999 and finally got married in 2003.

Of course I would. Love is love regardless of how the people met, and regardless of what type of people you are. If you are two good people who love eachother, and consent is mutual, go right ahead with the wedding.

I think it's as legit of a way to meet someone as any other. If you met your soul mate this way, then it was obviously right for you. Best of luck to you in your marriage :)
