A really bad hair day

A few years ago when I first started losing my hair I decided to try a number of different products in an attempt to stave off my male pattern baldness...the only one that really seemed to work was sprinkling the seeds from a chia pet on my head and going for a shower every 2 hours. In just 3 days I had a glorious head of green hair, and when that fell out I could use it as a garnish...it all came to a halt though when I developed a speech impediment because of it...any time I had to say a word beginning with C-H i developed a stutter...example..."would you ch-ch-ch-children stop climbing all over that ch-ch-ch-chair"....very unfortunate

did that really happen?i bet you must have looked like something from outerspace with a head for of garnish hahaha!that's a really funny story, although i would not want to wish that on anyone. my brother has stress alopecia and it really did a number on his head. he doesn't complain about it, although he's tried a lot of things that are supposed to cure it. ;(

no it didn't happen...LOL...most of the discussions I start are very loosely based on something that actually happened to me but embellished to the point of being totally ridiculous

Funny post Inked4life, about the chiapet not the baldness.
I was lucky and spared (knock on wood) I still have all my hair. My older brother however started going bald in his early twenties and was nearly completely bald by his thrities.
He is now shaving it off because it's easier, but I think he's still planning on getting the hair transplant surgey that does seem to work well for many. Too bad it's also kind've expensive.

At least you didn't develop other symptoms. It could have been worse you know, you could have morphed into Daffy Duck or Tweety Bird or one of the other toons that have been immortalized by the Chia Craze. At least you went with the Chia brand and not the "grow a garden on your window sill" kit. As much as I love fresh parsley and other herbs .. if I were to see a man clip them from his head and use them as a garnish or seasoning .. I would have to think twice about consuming it.

I had a bad hair day about a month ago. I put it all in a pony tail and then cut it. My hubby measured it - 13" and then he had to "straighten it out a bit". I still had to go to the hair dressers. It was quite a shock, as I'd never had my hair this short before. I almost feel naked......

one of the responses reminded me of a commercial that was on telly (UK) a few years ago. The advert was for coffee or phones or something but the guy on it had a can of "Spray-mane" which grew a huge afro on everything. He sprayed it on a dog, a car roof, the works. I tried googling it to post a link but couldn't find anything i'm afraid :(
