I love the early part of the day but i cant seem to get my sleep patterns regulated so i end up sleeping in and i hate myself for it feel like i wasted the days away. Are you and early riser or do you sleep in? What is your most favorite and most productive part of the day? My mother used to say that i may rise but i refuse to shine i guess i was cranky when i got up in the morning lol.

I'm very much a morning person, during the week I am up at 5:30 am and during the weekends I'm up about 6:30. I just tend to have so much more energy in the first few hours of the day and get so much more done

yup. it's like starting the day right by waking up in the early morning. feeling good about it. atleast having lots of things done in an early time. plus, morning is the best hour for us to get exercise, too so we can stay fit and healthy.... anne

I am nocturnal by nature. I use to allway work a midnight shift and would even be awake during those hours on my days off. Two o'clock in the morning was the most energetic time of the day. Now, I work afternoon shifts and usually go to bed about 1 or 2 but sometimes I like to stay up until 5 or 6 in the morning, especially when I get on the computer.

lol- Of course I'm an early riser on weekdays- Work! Work! Work!-- on the weekends I try my best to sleep in but I'm usually up before 7am. So I guess I'm an early riser- I try to get the house stuff done first thing in the morning- so I have the rest of the day to play! My daughter is not an early riser- Some days on the weekend- it's 10 before she crawls out of bed! Sometimes she beats me up before 7! lol

Ah, sleep. It is wonderful when it is restful and dreadful when not. I've dealt with sleep disorders for years, decades actually. There are different kinds, so no two folks may be the same. I recently read that to regulate your sleep pattern naturally you should go to sleep with the curtains/blinds open so that the daylight can effect your seratonin before you wake up, preparing you to be more alert. I don't know about that. Nothing about me has been "more alert" lately! LOL But I do know that I am more likely to wake up early if the daylight is coming into my room. Give it a try. Of course, that means you have to go to sleep at least eight hours before you want to wake up! Forget staying up all night.

I love getting up early before anyone else, it's so peaceful and I can think then or pray. I love watching the sun come up, hearing the early birds singing and the smell of fresh brewed coffee. I hate when I have a day off work though, and end up taking a nap and wasting the day.

i love to see sunrise. and i love getting up early in the morning... even before the sun's up. i feel a lot better and more refreshed if i wake up in the early morning than staying up late in bed. there are times when i sleep late at night but still, i am able to wake up at around 5.30 in the morning with or without an alarm clock. maybe my body's already used to waking up that early that it has become a habit already... anne

I am not a morning person, never have been, I'm like a bear with a sore head, I much prefer to stay up real late right into 1am - 3am in the morning then wake up at 10 or 11 so I get 8 hours sleep, I don't feel I've wasted the day because I am up longer. I am a night person, I function better at night so I make allowances for it.

I'm a certified night owl, kitkat. During summertime, I can wake up a little late. It depends on how many hours of sleep I have. If I lack sleep, I tend to be grumpy and sulking. Next week, my girls will start another school year. I need to rouse up at 5 in the morning to prepare their breakfast. That's why I have to practice sleeping early again. "groan"

Me??? An early riser?? Are you kidding? LOL I no longer get up as late as I used to...and don't ask what time I did used to get up..embarrassed...now I don't get up any later than 11:30 most times...although if I do have to get up early I will..though hate it as I have to force myself to go to bed early as well...but still won't feel refreshed getting up..I'd rather let my own "alarm" clock wake me and get up later--I definitely don't rise and shine either...LOL

Hi kitkat1. I have insomnia so I am not able to wake up early in the morning. I like to be able to wake up early because I can do so much things in the morning. Not only housework but things like going to the market or paying bills.

I have such a crazy work schedule that my sleep pattern is a little off. I tend to be more of a morning person, and that is my most productive time. I usually don't get to sleep in any later than 9 or 9:30 when I do sleep in, no matter what time I get to bed.

I am an early riser and still think I waste a great deal of time. currently unemployed means I get in the shower and dressed oh whenever I feel like it. I tend to stare at the monitor until my eyes can't read anymore, looking for work and checking discussions on mylot.
