I have an idea for making aprons out of vintage fabrics. I wonder if they would sell?? I think i could sell them online on ebay maybe. I can get some actual vintage fabrics that would make some really cute aprons.

Think positive and you can achieve anything. I think it's definately worth a shot as long as you can make enough money per apron to cover your hours that you put into manking each one. Another thing which there may be a niche for (as there seems to be a shortage of them here in the UK) is peg bags...I seem to think my Grandma used to have a hand made one which was basically 2 squares of fabric sewn together with a hole in the middle and a coathanger slotted through. Just a thought ;) Good luck and let us know how it goes!

I think that they would. You really can't find aprons anymore. I have a friend that wants me to make her several of them because she wants to give them as gifts. I think you should go for it. They would make great christmas gifts for those who cook a lot.

Research your market. See how many are listed now and what they go for and their descriptions. Then you will know what you are in for. Even then if you market them on your blogs and sites where you go then it might bring the right traffic for you to sell them anyway. Good luck in your sales.

I say give it a try, you have no way of knowing unless you try. I would check first to see if there are any for sale on Ebay, and the selling price then place a couple for sale.

I think they would probably sell very well. Etsy.com would definitely be a good place to sell them. I'm sure there are already people on Etsy selling aprons made from vintage fabrics, but if you give yours a unique twist, they will likely do well there! Good luck! :)

you could make a couple and see how they sell and how people like them. I think those things sell pretty well, but in case you find this is not a good idea you just keep one for you and the others for Christmas gifts.

Well I'd say, what do you have to lose? Make one or two, list it on eBay & etsy.com and see what happens. Best of luck, and remember if this idea doesn't work for you- keep trying :)
