I pre-ordered this book as soon as it was available a few months ago. I was already ordering books from Barnes & Noble.com, so I got free shipping and 40% off of the cover price!

I don't know what deal they are offering now. I think at the time they were running a special. I do believe they are still offering 15% off of the cover price and you may get a members discount too.

Hi,brand4less,it seems like that you can keep a sober mind to the latest Harry Potter book.LoL Myself,to be honest,I'm not interested in Harry Potter because I think this book is proper for teenagers but I'm an adult.I won't be so crazy about anything, especially the trendy books.Well,it will be published someday,so why I have to pay more attention on it and be insane for the new book now? LoL

I guess I'm lucky. My husbands uncle owns a book store and my father-in-law reserved me a copy as a birthday present. You should look into the smaller local bookstores and talk to them about setting aside or ordering an extra for you. Bigger chains tend to pre-order a set amount and first come, first serve. A little corner place may order on a request insuring you get a copy.

I dont think that you will have to do it. I havent yet but it is the last book of the series so it may be different. I know that the last book my mother in law purchased for me at a book store she paid almost $30.00 for it and i went down to the walmart minutes later and they had it for $15.00 why is there such a price difference? so we got the one from walmart and returned the one to the book store. But the walmart still had a lot of copeis when i went and got mone and it had been out a week or so already and so did the book store.

My daughter is a Harry Potter finatic. When asked what she wanted for High School graduation she replied a boxed set of Harry Potter hard-backs. They are ordered. I ordered her set online (partly because we have no bookstore in this pathetic small town and partly because even if we had a bookstore I am not one to stand in lines) The small shipping charge by the online company was worth it to me not to stand in a line!

You can reserve a copy for yourself at any Wal-Mart store for two dollars. You buy a little ticket, keep it and your receipt and then present both the night the book is released. That way you're assured of getting one and you don't have to stand in any ridiculous bookstore lines. Make sure you reserve a copy soon, though. Wal-Marts only sell so many tickets per store.
