That is pretty good for you. For paid version, you could try Kaspersky and Symantec antivirus. They are very good when it comes on scanning and detecting any viruses, worms, or malwares. When it comes to freeware version, you could try AVG, AVAST, and AVIRA. Currently, I am using Avira AntiVir Personal Classic Edition. In my point of view, this antivirus does its jobs pretty well. Since using this one, I have never had problems at all with regards on maintaining the speed and system performance of my computer. In terms of its features, you can update this regularly and can be scheduled at your most convenient time. Another thing also, it is very light on resources, which means it does not eat a lot of memory. For this reason, it does not slow down your computer. I am very much satisfied since using this one, and I can recommend this software to anyone and for those who are still searching for the right antivirus for their machine. By the way, you can download this at www.free-av.com That's it. Have a nice day!

When I first got my computer I had Nortons and would never use it again as it was an absolute nightmare and I had to wipe my entire hard drive twice in the space of 6 months. Since then I've used Trend-Micro PC-Cillin which is very good and now I have Kaspersky which I have to say has been the best of the lot....nothing gets through on that one.

You can always rely on NOD32 antivirus always. But at times you need to rely on the Avast Antivirus for picking up complex viruses such as the Trojan W.32 and the Orkut viruses ...
