Clixsense: making it work?

Hi, the other day I joined Clixsense and don't know why I decided to upgrade. Now I see that the earnings are very low. Is it possible to raise a fair ammount of $ by just clicking ads, or is it only referals that return some money? Clixsense people, please advice ;)
