I was at work taking calls of diffrent types of Customers 5 days ago, when the First call itself distressed me. I got a call from a customer that he had broken up with his GF n had a joint bank a/c with us. N now comes the worst part,,,, since it was a joint a/c, his Ex gf, had already withdrawn 1000pounds flat out of 'Their' bank a/c .Then I told him, since it was an Either to sign Joint a/c, there is very little we coul do about it. He should have probably acted faster, by informing us earlier. Then he said, he had called us the previous day, but we were not available. I gave him then the advice that ghe needed to prevent future losses like these, but I felt really bad for this customer.I mean how could that girl be so mean, to ditch her BF in such a mean way. I guess she must have been a Gold digger. I hate such women. I m pretty sure that when this customer goes to find another woman, she will be reallly really careful, n wont trust women easily. One thing I forgot to add, was that, The customer told me that after she withdrew the money, she called him up, told him what she had done, very bluntly, n then hung up.1!! Wat a b!@#$#!!!!.I wish I was in the Police or somethin. I would really love catching hold of her, n then punishing her with a jail sentence, or a very huge penalty.I cannot beleieve how inhuman monetary greed has made the human race...My question to u guys, is also,,,Should we have joint a/cs with our loved ones, even though we trust them enuf,so also should with money?????

Well no offence to you but you have only heard his version of their break up and not hers. Who's to say he is telling you the truth? If I broke up with my partner and we had a joint account, I would withdraw at least half of what we had in the bank, I mean how am I going to live if I left him all our $$? We use to have a joint account but no longer do. Since we moved to the USA, my husband set up his bank account (which is our main account which we both call ours) and I have my own. It just so happens he was in the USA 4 months before we arrived and had to set up his bank account for work etc. and thus the reason why we have separate accounts. I think its up to each individual and or couple and what suits them best, however, it always pays to have your own bank account just in case of a breakup or even divorce.

I agree with u, but if she really wanted her share, she should not have run away with it, that way. After all she was once in love with him , right?. I totally agree with u , thT i KNOW ONLY ONE SIDE OF THE STORY, BUT EVEN THEN, IF IT WOULD BE ME IN HER PLACE , I would probably sort the money issue out before he goes to complain it to the bank!!!

Yup, that would be the most sensible way to do it :)
