The British death toll in iraq reached 150 on friday 8th june when a soldier was shot dead during a patrol in basra,
The Trooper from the 4th battalion the rifles regiment was part of a team conducting a stop and search operation in an area north-west of Basra City, when he was gunned down
Three other coalition trooped were injured during the patrol in the Al- Atiyah district but thy are not belived to have life threatening injuries. The Ministry of defense said the dead soldiers next of kind had been informed but no further irmation would be realsed.
this war is getting out of hand i dont belive in the reasons we first went to war how long as it been now since the coaltion of the willing as george bush put it was sent in? our peoples are dying for no reason but power and oil i agree that Sadam hussein was a evil dictator but surley there was better ways of handling him i feel we should let iraq deal with there problem thats what they want we can advise the new government of what to do but the longer we are there the longer we are gonna be attacked by extremist groups.
what do you personally think of the war in iraq is it a exuse to profit on oil? do you think geogre bush was right to send in the troops? your views please
