Where do I advertise my blog?

I have added adsense to my blog and need to know if it is okay to advertise it on paid to click and paid to read sites? or what are some good ways to advertise? I started a discussion a week or so ago about exchanging blogs, etc, but I cannot get this advertising into my head. Thanks for all your help and being so patient with me.

I'd like to know too. All I know is we can't use traffic exchanges. I'd just like to get some visitors so if someone has the same interests we can share ideas.
